One week from this Friday is opening night for the big performance! Let's show our support for the cast, crew and directing team by wearing our "Aladdin Jr." shirts or "PURPLE," tomorrow, Wednesday, April 10. Good luck to all of our talented cast and crew members as they put in a lot of extra hard work this week! We all can't wait to see the show!
Hope you can join us next Saturday for the UGES Student Art Show. Come check out some of the fantastic art our talented students have been working on this year!

More fun photos of the "GREAT ECLIPSE" from Ms. Olson's 2nd grade class, 5th grade and Ms. Ninneman's kindergarten class!

UGES is enjoying the eclipse!

Room 112 (Ms. Passe's 1st grade class) is ready for the solar eclipse! They're fascinated to know that the next time they will see a total solar eclipse, they will be 26 or 27 years old!!

Welcome back everyone! It's hard to believe, but there are only 8 weeks of school left until summer break. With that being said, Trimester 3 progress reports for grades 3-8 will be posted to Skyward Family Access by 6:00 p.m. this Wednesday, April 10th. You may view reports by logging into Family Access/Portfolio-Report Cards.

It's time to lace up those shoes and stretch out because track season begins tomorrow after school (3:00 - 4:30 p.m.). Good luck to all of our awesome student athletes as they begin another fun season.
The "Student Council Food Drive" begins tomorrow, Monday, April 8. Non-perishable food items (canned goods, cereal, mac & cheese, etc.) can be dropped off in the bins by the main office entryway. If we fill 10 bins of food by April 26, Mr. Hansen has agreed to work from the roof of the school for an entire day. We've got this UGES! Start dropping off those food items starting tomorrow!
Only TWO days remaining! Sunday, April 7 is the last day to place a 2023-24 UGES yearbook order. If interested in ordering one for your student(s), don't forget to visit the following link by this Sunday: https://ybpay.lifetouch.com/Order/SelectJob

The UGES Read-a-thon was a huge success. Great job UGES students. You helped raise $4,834 through all of your reading efforts! Wow! That's a lot of reading!

The Green Committee presents the "UGES Can Drive" beginning April 22 through April 26. Begin collecting aluminum cans now and drop them off during Earth Week to the UGES front parking lot. Please place bags in the back of the UGES truck that will parked there beginning Monday, April 22.

UGES Families: Spring Break is Friday, March 29 through Sunday, April 7. School will resume on Monday, April 8. From all of us at UGES, we wish you and your family a safe, fun and enjoyable spring break!
Who wants to see Mr. Hansen work all day from the roof of the school? It could become a reality! Beginning April 8th-26th, Student Council will be sponsoring a food drive. All UGES students are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items and place them in the barrels by the main office beginning Monday, April 8. If we fill 10 barrels, Mr. Hansen will be on the roof. Let's get this done UGES! We can do it!

Ms. Passe's 1st grade class read "The Great Eggscape," learning about animal habitats and camouflage. They painted a "habitat" and then camouflaged an egg. Habitats were set on desks and students had to select an egg to see if they could match it to the correct habitat. Some were very tricky!

8th grade students learned valuable CPR skills in Ms. Marshall's science class today. What a great activity for our 8th grade students to be a part of.

Ms. Kieffer's kindergarten class spent the week doing jellybean math, tulip painting, making spring cards, and showing their Pony Pride! They also did a "Peep" writing activity and enjoyed eating them when they were all done!
Room 104 (Ms. Ninneman's kindergarten class) used Peeps for reading, writing, and math activities today. The kids loved describing them, counting them, and eating them at the end!

Ms. Passe's first grade class was having a little spring time fun going on a "bunny scavenger hunt" throughout the school this morning. Great job students! Hope you had fun!

4K wishing everyone a happy spring break!
