Come cheer on the Ponies! UGES Volleyball will be hosting two games this week!
Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12 as the Ponies take on the Yorkville Rams. The fun continues on Thursday, March 14 when the Williams Bay Bulldogs visit UGES.
The boys' A-team and girls' B-teams play at 4:00 p.m., followed by girls' A-team and boys' B-team at 5:00 p.m.

Shannon and Reese from Union Grove High School FFA made a special visit to Ms. Ninneman's kindergarten class. Looks like they had a blast!

Over the past few weeks, 7th graders have been working on their food truck project in Ms. Ketter’s STEM class. The activity included planning, designing and building the replica food truck as well as creating a full color menu! Great job 7th grade!





It's a great Friday at UGES! Mr. Sams and Roman from 5th grade are "twinning today!" How FUN is that?

Students in Mr. Cleven's 6th grade science class built volcanic shelters to see if they
could withstand the lava flow and ash test. What a fun, hands-on learning activity!











Student Council would like to invite all UGES students and their families to "Family Movie Night" which is one week from today (Friday, March 15). The movie starts at 6:00 p.m. Gym opens at 5:30 p.m. There will soda, popcorn, candy, and pizza available for purchase. Bring your chairs and blankets. All students/children must be accompanied by an adult. A big thank you to student council for organizing this fun event! We are looking forward to seeing everyone next Friday!


The UGES Read-a-thon is off to a great start! As a school, so far, we have raised $1,813 in just a few days. A big thank you to all of the parents/guardians, grandparents and friends of the family and school who have generously supported their student's reading efforts or who clicked on the link to make a general donation to the UGES Read-a-thon. Fantastic job everyone! Students will begin reading their books on March 18 through March 28. There are still 11 days left to sign your student up (please sign up by March 18). All money raised will benefit UGES students. It will be used to help teachers with supplies they may need, assist with bussing fees for field trips and help fund future PTO events. UGES PTO thanks everyone for their support!

It’s dodgeball time! For the "March Pony Pride Ticket Challenge," students will continue to earn tickets for doing GREAT things in and around UGES that they will place in their grade level bucket. The winning grade levels (one from k-4th and one from 5th-8th) will get to play in the student vs. staff dodgeball game that will take place on Thursday, March 28. Check back next Thursday to see which grade levels are in the lead for a chance to play in the BIG GAME!

Activity Night Information for 5th-8th Grades - We are gearing up for the third and final activity night of the year which is scheduled for Friday, March 22 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. This month's activity night will feature the popular 3-on-3 basketball tournament which has a separate sign up sheet that is attached to the permission slip. Parents/guardians, your student will be bringing home an activity night permission form by the end of this week. If your student plans to attend activity night, please sign the permission form and have them return it to their homeroom teacher or the main office by Tuesday, March 19, 3:30 p.m. The activity night planning committee is looking forward to a lot of students showing up for what promises to be another fun-filled evening of activities!

Tomorrow (March 7) is "Pony Pride Thursday!" Students and staff will be displaying their "Pony Pride" by wearing their "UGES Spirit Wear" or "School Colors!" It's been a great week so far here at UGES! Let's keep it going! GO PONIES!

The PTO "VIP Dance" is back by popular demand. Registration forms are being sent home this week with each student. The event will take place on Friday, April 12. The VIP Dance is like a Daddy-Daughter/Mother-Son Dance. It is open to 4K through 8th grade students and their special VIP (any adult in a student's life such as a parent/guardian, relative, or family friend).
