In case you missed it! The deadline to sign up for the UGES Summer Enrichment Program has been extended to this Thursday, March 28. The UGES Summer Enrichment Program is for students entering grades 2-7 in the fall of 2024. This year's program is themed as a "Summer to Explore". It will take place June 11-27. This summer we will explore a ropes course, tour American Family Field, visit Sky Zone, and splash around at Kalahari. If you are interested, ask your homeroom teacher for a sign up form, pick one up from the main office, or reach out to Ms. Tenhagen or Mr. Kasprowicz.


March Pony Pride Ticket Challenge Update - Congratulations to 3rd and 5th grades! After two weeks, they are still in the lead for a chance to play in the student vs. staff dodgeball game this Thursday, March 28. Not far behind in the standings are kindergarten and 8th grade. Check back this Thursday to see who the winners are!

Last chance to sign up for the PTO "VIP Dance" is this Thursday, March 28. Please drop off registration forms/money in an envelope to the main office. Check out the “VIP Dance” flyer in the "Virtual Backpack" for more details. The “Virtual Backpack” can be found on the UGES Website next to the Daily Express tab. Any questions about the VIP Dance? As a part of the 8th grade Empathy Unit in English classes, students shared artifacts today that create comforting memories for them that they hope to hold in their futures.

With volleyball season coming to a close, it's time for boys and girls track! Track sign up for 6th-8th grade students is right around the corner! There will be sign up sheets posted by the gym locker rooms starting Monday, March 25 through Wednesday, March 27. The first practice is Monday, April 8th, right after spring break. Get ready for another fun season!

Mark your calendar for the upcoming spring choir concerts. The 3rd and 4th grade concert is next Tuesday, March 26 at 1:30 & 6:30 p.m. at Union Grove Elementary School (Large Gym). Doors will open for grandparents/family members at 1:00 p.m. for the the 1:30 p.m. performance and 6:00 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. performance. Please enter through the main entrance by the office. The 5th-8th grade choir concert will take place on Wednesday, May 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the Union Grove High School Performance Center.

The Aladdin Jr. cast and crew is seeking donations (cases of water, individual bags of chips, individual boxes of candy/treats and 12 packs of soda) for their upcoming Aladdin Jr. performances that they can sell at the concession stand on April 19 and 20th. ChoralfestTonight!!! Come see past and current UGES students perform at Choralfest tonight at 7:00 pm at Union Grove High School! Professor Greg Berg from Carthage College will be the guest clinician conducting three large group pieces! It's going to be a great night!


A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to all of our students who represented Union Grove Elementary School at the Western Racine Forensics League Contest last night at Washington-Caldwell School. Here are the results: Lucia S. (8th grade) - 2nd place (Poetry), Olivia B. (8th grade) - 1st place (Extemporaneous Speaking), Austen H. (6th grade) - 1st place (Four Minute Oration), and Sutton L.
