With volleyball season coming to a close, it's time for boys and girls track! Track sign up for 6th-8th grade students is right around the corner! There will be sign up sheets posted by the gym locker rooms starting Monday, March 25 through Wednesday, March 27. The first practice is Monday, April 8th, right after spring break. Get ready for another fun season!

The 7th/8th grade elective choir put on an amazing show last evening at the Union Grove High School Performance Center! Thank you to all of the guests and family members who showed up to support Choralfest. Hope you enjoyed the performance!

Mark your calendar for the upcoming spring choir concerts. The 3rd and 4th grade concert is next Tuesday, March 26 at 1:30 & 6:30 p.m. at Union Grove Elementary School (Large Gym). Doors will open for grandparents/family members at 1:00 p.m. for the the 1:30 p.m. performance and 6:00 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. performance. Please enter through the main entrance by the office. The 5th-8th grade choir concert will take place on Wednesday, May 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the Union Grove High School Performance Center.

"Pony Pride Day" is tomorrow! Let's support the boys and girls volleyball teams by wearing UGES spirit wear or school colors to show our Pony Pride! Help cheer our teams on to another victory as they compete in the conference championship tournament on Thursday!

The deadline to sign up for the UGES Summer Enrichment Program is this Friday, March 22. The UGES Summer Enrichment program is for students entering grades 2-7 in the fall of 2024. This year's program is themed as a "Summer to Explore". It will take place June 11-27. This summer we will explore a ropes course, tour American Family Field, visit Sky Zone, and splash around at Kalahari. If you are interested, ask your homeroom teacher for a sign up form, pick one up from the main office, or reach out to Ms. Tenhagen or Mr. Kasprowicz.


The deadline to sign up for the PTO "VIP Dance" is next Thursday, March 28. Please drop off registration forms/money in an envelope to the main office. This event is open to 4K through 8th grade students and their special VIP. Any questions about the VIP Dance can be directed to PTO@uges.k12.wi.us


A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to all of our students who represented Union Grove Elementary School at the Western Racine Forensics League Contest last night at Washington-Caldwell School. Here are the results: Lucia S. (8th grade) - 2nd place (Poetry), Olivia B. (8th grade) - 1st place (Extemporaneous Speaking), Austen H. (6th grade) - 1st place (Four Minute Oration), and Sutton L. (7th grade) - 1st place (Four Minute Oration). Great job students! You made UGES proud!






Congratulations to both the boys' and girl's A-teams for winning their divisional playoff games last night. As a result, both teams have advanced to the conference championship tournament which will take place tomorrow, Thursday, March 21. The boys will play the Wheatland Warhawks at 4:00 p.m. at Trevor-Wilmot Grade School and the girls will take on the Mustangs from Brookwood at 4:00 p.m. at Raymond Elementary School. A special congratulations to the boys' A-team on being the #1 seed and for winning all of their matches last night! Good Luck Ponies!

Good luck to the boys and girls volleyball teams tonight in the divisional playoffs. The boys play at Yorkville at 4:00 p.m. and the girls play at Raymond at 4:00 p.m. Important information from host school (Raymond) for the Girls East Divisional Volleyball Tournament: There are extra parking lots on the north end of the gym and the staff lot in the southwest corner of the school. All spectators and players can enter through the atrium door in the front of the school that leads directly into the gym. The east volleyball court is by the large flag on the wall, and the west volleyball court is by the locker rooms. GO PONIES!

Activity night permission slips for grades 5-8 are due tomorrow (Tuesday, March 19) by 3:00 p.m. to the main office. Extra activity night permission slips are available in the office for the third and final activity night of the year which will take place this Friday, March 22 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
