The "UGES Track Team" kicks off their season this Friday, April 19 with the "Feeder Meet" at Union Grove High School beginning at 4:00 p.m. Admission is $2.00 for adults. Kids under 12 are free. Have FUN and good luck PONIES!
LOST AND FOUND - UGES Families - There are plenty of lost and found items that have accumulated over the past month. If your student is missing clothing, water bottles or lunch bags, please have them check the lost and found items that are located on the tables outside the nurses office (by the K-4 cafeteria) by 3:00 p.m. this Thursday, April 18!
There are only a few Aladdin Jr. tickets remaining for the performance this weekend. There are only 17 tickets available for the Saturday, April 20th 1:00 p.m. performance and 37 tickets for the Saturday, April 20th 6:00 p.m. show! Only FIVE Days to opening night. When you stop by for the performance this weekend, be sure to check out the cast and crew "Bio Boards" on the windows by the K-4 cafeteria. They are awesome!

Activity Night Information for 5th-8th Grades - The third and final activity night for the year has been rescheduled for next Friday, April 26 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The popular 3-on-3 basketball tournament is still taking place which has a separate sign up sheet that is attached to the permission slip. Parents/guardians, your student will be bringing home a NEW activity night permission form in the next couple of days. If your student plans to attend, please sign the permission form and have them return it to their homeroom teacher or the main office by next Tuesday, April 23 by 3:30 p.m. SPECIAL NOTE: Permission slips that were turned in for the March activity night are no longer valid, so a new one must be turned in for this event. The activity night planning committee is looking forward to a lot of students showing up for what promises to be another fun-filled evening of activities!

The "AG Literacy Assembly" was so much fun for UGES students today. Thank you to all of the Union Grove High School FFA students who joined us to make this such a cool event.
In case you missed it! Summer school sign up is taking place right now. Summer school will take place from June 4th-27th from 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. (Monday -Thursday, NO Fridays). It is open to all students who will be entering kindergarten through 7th grade for the 2024-25 school year. The UGES Green Committee is gearing up for a fun Earth Week celebration during the last week of April. One of the activities leading up to Earth Week is the "Can Drive." The Green Committee is asking families to begin collecting aluminum cans now and to drop them off in the UGES truck that will be located in the front parking lot the entire week of April 22-26.
"Student Council Food Drive" Update...We have a little less than two weeks left to see if we can bring in enough non-perishable food items (canned goods, cereals) to fill 10 barrels of food. If we do, Mr. Hansen will be working for an entire day from the roof of the school. Currently we are at about one barrel of food. There is still plenty of time to make this happen. Food items can be dropped off by the main office entryway.

Aladdin Jr. Ticket Update...The Friday, April 19th 7:00 p.m. show is completely sold out as of this morning. There are only 29 seats available for the Saturday, April 20th 1:00 p.m. performance and 51 seats left for the Saturday, April 20th 6:00 p.m. show. The PTO "VIP Dance" is only two days away (Friday, April 12, 6:30-8:30 p.m.) It's going to be a night to remember with several hundred students and their special VIP guests who will be in attendance having fun dancing, taking lots of pictures, enjoying concessions, and participating in craft activities. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Please enter through the main entrance by the office. Pre-ordered flowers can be picked up at the door upon arrival.
