A HUGE "Thank You" to PTO for a fantastic catered lunch and raffle today as part of staff appreciation week. Thank you to all of the parents, guardians and friends of UGES who covered recess duty for the teachers to give them a much needed break! It was an amazing day!

PTO made their way around UGES today to deliver treats to all of the staff to celebrate Staff Appreciation Week! Thank you PTO for making it another great day!

Kindergarten had to dodge a little rain this morning on the 8th grade outdoor exploration trail, but that didn't stop them from having FUN!

Good luck to the "UGES Track Team" this evening at they travel to Westosha Central High School to participate in the West Divisional Track Meet beginning at 3:30 p.m.

It's "Outdoor Exploration Trail Week" with 8th grade. They are presenting environmental educational lessons to students in kindergarten through 5th grades that focus on the value of biodiversity and conservation. Check out these pictures of 5th grade having a great time on the trail today!

UGES is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week May 6-10! Join us as we make sure our teachers know just how much we value everything they do—this week and every week!

The final count is in for the end of the year "Pony Pride Ticket Challenge." It's going to get a little wild and crazy around UGES this afternoon! Let the pie throwing begin!

The "Teacher/Staff Pie In The Face" assembly was so much fun. Ms. Gabinski, Mr. Bing, Ms. Santarelli, and Mr. Hansen had a lot of whip cream to deal with this afternoon. Afterwards, students went outside to enjoy popsicles in the nice 70 degree weather and a little free time with their classmates. It was another awesome day at UGES!!!

Another tough day at the office for principal Hansen.

It was an awesome day! Mr. Hansen and all of the students had a great time with "Principal on the Roof Day." Here's Mr. Hansen greeting Ms. Storm-Voltz's 4K P.M. class and hanging out with 8th grade for a little outdoor break in the nice weather. Thank you to Student Council for organizing this fun event and to all of the students and families who donated food items to the Union Grove Food Bank!

Mr. Hansen sure has a nice bird's-eye view of everything happening around UGES today! Meanwhile, Ms. Effinger's 1st grade class stopped outside to see how he's doing and to give a quick wave.

4th graders in Ms. Tenhagen and Mrs. Orcutt’s class are studying static electricity-these two students helped demonstrate how “unlike charges attract!!"

Today is the day Mr. Hansen will be working from the roof of UGES. Here he is waving to parents and students bright and early at 7:30 a.m. to start the school day. Hope he brought his sunscreen with.
