Family Skate Night is Tomorrow at TraXside in Burlington from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Visit the flyer in the Virtual Backpack for details. A portion of each admission will be donated back to our school. Please bring the TraXside Flyer which was sent home with each student so that UGES receives credit.
Today, September 27, is Bullying Awareness Day. Bullying may negatively impact a student’s connection with school, their engagement with the curriculum, and their overall ability to learn. Bullying prevention is critical to building a school environment conducive to learning and where students feel safe at all times.
Softball at UGES Tonight - Only A Team Boys and Girls games will be held tonight beginning at 4:00 p.m. (possibly earlier) on Pete Maurice Field (Bronco Select Field). Boys Team will play first. There are no B Team games this evening. Picture night is still on for this evening for all A Team & B Team softball players as well as all cross country athletes. All B Team softball players and cross country athletes can be picked up in the front of the school at 4:00 p.m.
Power has been restored at UGES. A special "thank you" to all of our students and staff for doing an amazing job staying focused and working through the outage. See you at the end of the day at 2:45 p.m. We are on a regular end of the day dismissal schedule.
Cross Country Practice Changes Coming Up: There will be a full practice on Tuesday, Sept. 26 (Picture Night) from 3:00-4:00 p.m. instead of a short practice. On Tuesday, October 3 there will be a short practice from 3:00-3:30 p.m. instead of a full practice.
Aladdin Jr. is coming to UGES. Casting call and auditions will be held in December and are open to all 5th-8th grade students. Show dates are April 19th and 20th. You won't want to miss it! Check out our Virtual Backpack for more information.
