Good luck to the UGES Volleyball Teams as they begin their season tomorrow night, February 27, on the road against the Salem Falcons. The Boys' A-team and Girls' B-team play at 4:00 p.m., followed by the Girls' A-team and Boys' B-team at 5:00 p.m. The first home volleyball game is this Thursday, February 29 against the Bristol Renegades. Good luck Ponies!
"Family Fun Night" was a blast this past Friday. There were inflatable bounce houses, face painting, games, and lots of food/snacks that UGES families enjoyed throughout the evening. A BIG "THANK YOU" to PTO and all of the volunteers who made this a special night for all who were in attendance.

UGES 5th-8th grade students visited Union Grove High School this morning to listen to John O'Leary deliver his message - "The Power of One" - How One Attitude, One Action and One Person Can Change The World. Many students were decked out in "Green Bay Packer Gear/Green & Gold" to celebrate "GO FRANK GO" day 2024.
Ms. Storm-Voltz, Ms. Ninneman (Kindergarten), Ms. Passe (1st grade), Ms. Gerou (4th grade), and Ms. Orcutt's (4th grade) classes celebrating "GO FRANK GO" day!
Tomorrow is "Go Frank Go" Day in Union Grove! Students, staff, and UGES Families are invited to wear "Green Bay Packer Gear" or "Green & Gold" to celebrate this special day.

Tomorrow is “Aladdin Jr. T-Shirt Day.” If your student purchased an Aladdin Jr. t-shirt, every Wednesday until the performance on April 19-20, students/staff will be wearing them. Didn’t purchase an Aladdin Jr. t-shirt, NO PROBLEM, wear PURPLE to show support for the upcoming UGES Spring Musical. Only two short months until the BIG SHOW! It's going to be AWESOME!
PTO is hosting “The UGES Read-A-Thon” which will take place from March 18-28. What is it? A read-a-thon is a fundraiser in which students track their reading progress and collect donations based on the total minutes, pages, or chapters they read. It's also a huge benefit to students. A read-a-thon can encourage students to read outside of school and motivate them to read more often. Check out the introduction flyer below to learn more details about the upcoming UGES read-a-thon.
Mark your calendars for not one, but TWO awesome upcoming events at UGES. On Friday, March 15 student council will be hosting a "Movie Night" for UGES students/families and on Friday, April 12 PTO presents the very popular "VIP Dance" for 4K-8th grades.

It was an awesome spirit week! A few more pictures to cap off a fun-filled week from Ms. Ninneman's (Kindergarten), Ms. Callewaert's (2nd grade), Mr. Topercer's (5th grade) and Ms. Storm-Voltz's (4K) classes. A big thank you to Student Council for organizing a fun Valentine Spirit Week for students and staff.

On Thursday, February 22nd, all of our 5th - 8th grade students will travel by bus from Union Grove Elementary to Union Grove High School in order to take part with other local schools in hearing a presentation from nationally acclaimed speaker, John O’Leary. This presentation is sponsored by the Go Frank Go Foundation of Union Grove. John is scheduled to speak with our students from 9:00 to 10:30. Please note that this will be a normal school day for all students with no change to our start/end times, pick up/drop, or our hot/cold lunch programs.
John's individual story is very inspirational! John was involved in a traumatic fire that burned 100% of his body when he was just 9 years old. John's presentation will touch on the significance of our daily attitudes, the power of gratitude, and the impact of serving others with courage. This is sure to be an excellent experience and learning opportunity for all of our 5th-8th grade students. There is also a community presentation that evening open to the public.
