
Ms. Passe's 1st grade class read "The Great Eggscape," learning about animal habitats and camouflage. They painted a "habitat" and then camouflaged an egg. Habitats were set on desks and students had to select an egg to see if they could match it to the correct habitat. Some were very tricky!









The Green Committee presents the "UGES Can Drive" beginning April 22 through April 26. Begin collecting aluminum cans now and drop them off during Earth Week to the UGES front parking lot. Please place bags in the back of the UGES truck that will parked there beginning Monday, April 22.


Ms. Passe's first grade class was having a little spring time fun going on a "bunny scavenger hunt" throughout the school this morning. Great job students! Hope you had fun!



Room 104 (Ms. Ninneman's kindergarten class) used Peeps for reading, writing, and math activities today. The kids loved describing them, counting them, and eating them at the end!



Everyone is gearing up this afternoon for the "Students vs. Staff Dodgeball Game." The final results are in for the "March Pony Pride Ticket Challenge." Congratulations to 3rd and 5th grades for earning the most tickets this past month for doing great things in and around the school. As a result, they will be playing in a fun game of dodgeball against UGES staff members. The entire school will be there to watch. It's going to be a blast! What a great way to end the week as we head into spring break!

Who wants to see Mr. Hansen work all day from the roof of the school? It could become a reality! Beginning April 8th-26th, Student Council will be sponsoring a food drive. All UGES students are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items and place them in the barrels by the main office beginning Monday, April 8. If we fill 10 barrels, Mr. Hansen will be on the roof. Let's get this done UGES! We can do it!


8th grade students learned valuable CPR skills in Ms. Marshall's science class today. What a great activity for our 8th grade students to be a part of.

Students in Ms. Bednarek's 5th grade class were doing a little spring planting. They were learning about plants by growing their own radishes, peas, barley, clover and corn.

In case you missed it! The deadline to sign up for the UGES Summer Enrichment Program has been extended to this Thursday, March 28. The UGES Summer Enrichment Program is for students entering grades 2-7 in the fall of 2024. This year's program is themed as a "Summer to Explore". It will take place June 11-27. This summer we will explore a ropes course, tour American Family Field, visit Sky Zone, and splash around at Kalahari. If you are interested, ask your homeroom teacher for a sign up form, pick one up from the main office, or reach out to Ms. Tenhagen or Mr. Kasprowicz.
