Ms. Gerovac's 7th grade classes put their math skills to the test during the week by producing scale drawings of their favorite cartoon characters. Check out these drawings. They turned out pretty neat. Great job 7th grade!

If you haven't heard, many of our 7th & 8th graders are in Washington D.C. and New York this week on their class trip. Take a look at what they've been up to. It looks like they are having an amazing time!

So many great memories from the 7th/8th grade class trip to Washington D.C. and New York. A "shout-out" to Mr. Cleven, Mr. Kasprowicz, Ms. Kuper, and Ms. Santarelli for serving as advisors.

4th grade had a great time visiting the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison yesterday. Here's Ms. Gerou's homeroom posing for a picture in front of the Wisconsin landmark. Mr. Sams also joined them on their exciting field trip.

UGES Families: Just a friendly reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day. School will resume on Tuesday, May 28. Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!

Jude M. from 2nd grade was having a little fun outside today. Jude's sidewalk drawing shows us that he might be looking forward to spending some time at the beach this summer.

It's time to get ready for next year! Today a few of our 8th grade students visited Union Grove High School for a tour.

In STEM classes our 8th graders welcomed Detective Justman and K-9 partner Kala. Students learned about internet safety and Kala's role as an electronic detection K-9 with the Mount Pleasant Police Department. This visit from Detective Justman and K-9 Officer Kala is the first lesson that focused on how technology and social media impact mental health.

Some more great end of the year photos from the 5th grade incentive trip to Old Settler's.

5th grade had a picture perfect day for their incentive trip to Old Settler's Park today!

Tomorrow is National SLP Day, however, UGES is celebrating National Speech-Language Pathologist Day today. Let's take some time to give a "shout-out" to our amazing SLP team at Union Grove Elementary School!

Mrs. Marshall's 7th grade science classes wrapped up a unit on Forces in Motion by enjoying a fun day participating in the "Sir Isaac Newton Annual Bocce Ball Tournament." Looks like they had a blast!

A special thank you to the 8th grade students who were on the winning teams last year for helping out with this year's "7th Grade Bocce Ball Tournament."

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, 7th grade students are learning about how technology and social media impact their mental health. Today in STEM class, they discussed different aspects of technology and how freely they should be used based on the risks they pose. Students also had a chance to analyze their own phone usage today. If you have a 7th grader, ask them to see their phone use analysis worksheet!

What an amazing night it was at the conference track meet! Boys were crowned conference champions and the girls placed 2nd in the entire conference! Congratulations on a remarkable season!
