Third Grade

Dear Third Grade Parents/Guardians,

I am one of two full-time school counselors at Union Grove Elementary School.  The mission of the Union Grove Elementary School Counseling Program is to inspire students through motivation while brightening their everyday lives and supporting them through their many challenges, so that they may achieve their personal-social, educational and career goals. I do this by providing classroom activities, small groups and individual counseling for kindergarten through 4th grade students.  Third graders also have the option of signing up for 3rd Grade Lunch Club which is held one or two times a month.

I visit Third Grade classes once a month throughout the school year.  In Third Grade, students are learning about bullying and how to help themselves and others.  We also talk about our school-wide initiative, making good CHOICEs to Care, Help, Own, Include, Cooperate and Excel at UGES, as well as being a “bucket-filler.”  Towards the end of the school year, Mrs. Brede and I team up for career exploration using Paws in Jobland in the computer lab.

Feel free to contact me anytime with questions or if you have a concern about your child.  You can reach me at 878-2015 ext. 2006 between 7:30 and 3:00.  If I am not available, please leave me a voice mail message or an email and I will contact you as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Patti Mork
