On Tuesday May 2nd, UGES 8th graders welcomed Detective Justman from the Mount Pleasant Police Department along with her partner K-9 Officer Kala, an electronic device detecting canine, to their STEM classes. Detective Justman and Kala were presenters as part of the Social Media and Mental Health lessons 8th graders were a part of. They spoke with students about their role in the police department and showed us how Kala works, internet safety and made positive connections with our students. We thank Detective Justman and K-9 Officer Kala for taking their time to share this valuable presentation with us, our students were very lucky to have you!
