Student Council American Red Cross Blood Drive

Our school is partnering with the American Red Cross to participate in a community service blood drive project on January 31st from 2:00-6:00 PM at Union Grove Elementary School.  Blood donation teaches children the importance of blood, its components, as well as how it is used as medicine.  Each student who recruits someone to donate at our upcoming blood drive will be recognized in two ways.  First, they will receive a fun appreciation gift from the American Red Cross. They will also receive a point for their class.  The class with the most points at the end of the blood drive will receive a Dairy Queen Blizzard Party sponsored by the Union Grove Elementary Student Council.  You can support your student and our school by donating blood or recruiting other blood donors for our blood drive.

The American Red Cross does recommend that you call or register online for an appointment (see information below for phone number and web address) prior to coming, however walk-ins are always welcome. As an added incentive, each blood donor will receive a raffle ticket that can be used to enter raffles for a chance to win one of two great prizes.  We thank you in advance for your help with this very important cause!

Registration Information: For eligibility requirements please visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-Red Cross.   Please remember to bring your donor ID card or government-issued photo ID the day of the blood drive.
