Hello!  My name is Nikki Callewaert and I am your child's second grade teacher.  Prior to teaching here at UGES, I taught fifth grade at Brighton Elementary for three years.  I grew up in Union Grove, so it is very exciting for me to teach in the community where I attended elementary and high school. 

I have my undergraduate degree from UW-Oshkosh and my master's degree in Reading from Carthage College.  I decided to get my master's degree in reading because I believe that learning how to read builds a solid foundation for future educational experiences.  I not only wanted to be able to help students who struggle to learn how to read, but also to challenge excelled readers.

I am excited for a full year of learning!
